Getting pumped for the Orcas Island 50k was short-lived as I relinquished my racing spot to the waitlist. Hopefully some other runner was stoked at getting a chance to race. I’m not prepared for racing long distances or mountains at the moment, so why would I selfishly hoard my race registration? Be free, race registration! Find a happy home.
Whilst releasing my spot to the wild, I’ve decided to seek out a coach for endurance running.
Once the transaction is finished, Trey Bailey of UphillRunning.com will be coaching me for the Bear Chase 50m in Colorado. This is my first time with a coach as I’ve previously gone on feel or cobbling various training plans together. The training plan starts in March, and I’ll be building base mileage and a running routine before then.
Goals for Bear Chase 50m
- Get to the start of the race sans injury.
- Finish the race and under the time limit.
- Don’t break a bone or die.
